Chicken
Heavy roasting chickens are avalaible fresh in June and September. Frozen chicken and chicken parts are available as supplies last. Roasting chickens weigh between 6lbs and 8lbs .
No that's not a really big chicken it's our Llama Uto. He protects the chickens from hawks and owls that also like to eat our chickens for dinner!!!
Turkeys
Fresh turkeys are available just before Thanksgiving and just before Christmas. Frozen turkeys and turkey parts are available as supplies last. Turkeys range in weight from 20 lbs to 30 lbs. For small families and small occasions we have 3 - 5 lb turkey roasts.
Turkeys enjoy ranging among the trees and often roost on the low hanging branches. They eat grass and insects to compliment their grain diet.
We characterize our product as pasture raised because as soon as the birds can control their body temperature (4 - 5 weeks) they are moved permanently to the pasture area. Mobile shelters (see picture) provide protection from rain and a place to roost at night. Other production systems may just require exposure to natural light - K & M farms raises the birds outdoors on pasture.
BEEF
Limited quantities of beef (sold by the side) can be ordered in March for delivery in November. Beef is cut, wrapped and frozen to order.
